Teeth Straightening

Yarm, Stockton-on-Tees, North Yorkshire.

Do you feel self-conscious about crooked or misaligned teeth?

Misaligned teeth can really affect your confidence and make you want to hide your teeth away. But there is so much more to having straight teeth than just a confident smile.

What are the other effects of misaligned teeth?

If misaligned teeth are not treated, they can eventually lead to:

Difficulty in properly cleaning teeth, leading to cavities and gum disease
Difficulty in speaking that can cause a lisp
Difficulty and improper pressure while chewing that could lead to a broken tooth

The best way to straighten your teeth is through an orthodontic treatment.

At Enhance Dental Care we are proud providers of Smilelign, a clear aligner orthodontic system. With its discreet appearance, you can go about your normal daily life, with minimum impact.

What is Smilelign?

Increasingly popular, Smilelign is a clear aligner (brace) system that moves your teeth discreetly into the desired position, meaning that you can continue your life with confidence.

Smilelign consists of a series of different clear aligners, each one fitting over your teeth and gently moving them in to the desired position.

Worn 24 hours a day – except when eating or drinking – each subsequent aligner is different to its predecessor, gradually guiding your teeth to towards your future straight, confident smile.

With treatment taking place in as little as 3 months, Smilelign aligners work quickly to straighten any misalignment issues that you may have. However, the total treatment time varies dependent on each person’s needs.

At your initial consultation, you will have a 3D scan taken.

Smilelign’s technicians, based here in the UK, will take these scans and using top of the range software, start to plan your journey ensuring that Smilelign treatment will work for you.

Your 3D treatment plan will be sent directly back to the dentist, who will be able to show you the current position of your teeth and the expected position after completion of a series of Smilelign aligners. It is at this stage that your dentist can more accurately commit to timescale of your treatment.

As with any teeth straightening, retention will also be required. There are different options available, and your dentist will discuss these with you, prior to any commitment.
