What is a crown?
A crown can be described as a ‘crash helmet’ that fits over the remaining part of the tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape and contour of a tooth again.
Partial crowns, also known as inlays and onlays are an option if the tooth’s damage does not warrant a full crown for protection.

They are bonded in place to strengthen and reinforce your tooth, giving you the confidence to eat what you want and smile again.
We frequently use Emax, Zirconia, and Lava ceramics depending on your requirements and clinical situation.
As ceramic crowns contain no metal, they allow light to pass through in a similar way to that of a natural tooth. Our ceramic crowns therefore give a more natural appearance in comparison to those containing metal.
A crown can help you:
The procedure for a crown is performed under local anesthetic so you will not feel anything. Like any treatment, you may experience some mild sensitivity afterwards, but this can be managed with over-the-counter pain relief and will subside within a week or so.
Here at Enhance Dental Care you can benefit from our state-of-the-art Ceramic reconstruction (CEREC) technology, which allows us to design and manufacture your new tooth right here at our practice. We use a CAD/CAM technology meaning you can have it fitted in just one visit.
