Dental Bridge

If you are missing a tooth, you may find that there are other things you miss too

You may miss being able to smile with confidence or not being able to eat the food you desire. Not only that, but a missing tooth can make you more prone to tooth decay, gum disease and infection. Some people even experience muscle strains and discomfort as the remaining teeth shift.

What is a dental bridge?

A dental bridge is an artificial tooth supported by neighboring teeth. They can be used to restore the space left by one or more missing teeth.

There are several types of bridges each suitable in a different clinical situation.

We frequently use Emax, Zirconia, and Lava ceramics depending on your requirements and clinical situation.

As ceramic bridges contain no metal, they allow light to pass through in a similar way to that of natural teeth. Our ceramic bridges therefore give a more natural appearance in comparison to those containing metal.

If you have lost one or more teeth in a row, then a bridge is an attractive and affordable option to restore your smile. A bridge is also an excellent alternative if you are unable to get a dental implant or partial denture.

The procedure for a dental bridge is performed under local anesthetic so you will not feel anything. Like any treatment, you may experience some mild sensitivity afterwards, but this can be managed with over-the-counter pain relief and will subside within a week or so.
