Are your gums bleeding? Bleeding gums are usually linked to gum disease. However, there are other things that can trigger your gums to bleed.
– Brushing your teeth aggressively or using a toothbrush with hard or frayed bristles can tear your gum tissue.
– If you are smoker and your gums usually bleed, you could be having gum disease and should visit the dentist, immediately.
– Some medication like anti-depressants, anti-seizures and hypertension drugs have gum inflammation and bleeding side effects.
If bleeding persists, see your dentist for check-ups and treatment.
